ABOUT MISS STUDENT CENTRAL
Every aspect of the pageant supports the ideals and attributes of today’s woman – a woman who has her own goals and views of her role within society. These ideals are emphasized by the associated charitable causes which largely benefit from Miss Student Central’s patronage.
There will 10 finalists to perform at the day of the competition for judging and will be four winners announced on the same day, one from each university, DUT, MUT, UKZN and one winner to represent all PRIVATE colleges. Each winner will receive clothing, food, airtime vouchers and much more as well as her own tiara and sash.
During each Miss Student Central’s reign she will represent Student Central. She will be involved in promotional work and appearances, she will travel locally, she will meet dignitaries, celebrities, the privileged, the underprivileged, the sick and the needy. This life changing experience opens doors to business, the arts, the media, retail and other commercial ventures.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN A MISS STUDENT CENTRAL WINNER
Every aspect of the pageant supports the ideals and attributes of today’s woman – a woman who has her own goals and views of her role within society.
The incumbent Miss Student Central is to be able to shine as a role model and ambassador.
The idea that a “Beauty Queen” is just for show and only judged on her exterior beauty is certainly not relevant in the search for our ambassador. We make reference to the “ideal Miss Student Central” which includes among other attributes, the inner strength and maturity to take on the role and ability to be able to interact with people on all levels and social standing. From the moment of completing the entry form, the “role interview” commences and this will eventually culminate in the winner taking on a position which will see them “working” for their sponsors, Student Central, designers, charities, media and most importantly, for the South African public.
